In the summer of 1995, Planet Blue opened its first store in Malibu, California.

to the city, Planet Blue opened new flagship store in Beverly Hills. With current locations in

For TANGERINE owners, Leigh Donovan and Jennifer Gabrielli, having their own clothing boutique was never part of the plan.
Leigh was enjoying huge success as a professional mountain bike racer, with over ten years in the inner-circle of the international cycling community, she accumulated national and world championship titles and won countless events in both BMX, slalom and downhill mountain biking.
A media favorite, Leigh was regularly featured in ads and editorials in both biking magazines and mainstream publications for years. A former World Champion, she was looking forward to a long, fulfilling career in the cycling industry.
While Jennifer dabbled in bike racing (that's how the girls met), her real talent was in the field marketing and public relations and for nearly 10 years, she headed up marketing departments in the action sports industry, fitting in some racing on the side.
In 1999, the girls landed the same sponsor and became teammates, racing for Intense Cycles, a Temecula-based custom mountain bike manufacturer. Leigh and Jennifer became fast friends and kept in touch after the season ended.
In 2001, following Leigh's retirement from pro racing, Jenn tipped her off to a marketing job at her company and once again, the girls were working together. They found their combined talents and yin/yang personalities made them a solid, successful team.
It was at a trade show in Las Vegas in 2002 when the girls began making plans to open a clothing store together. Their mutual love for fashion, support from their families and their hard-driving work ethics gave them the advantage they needed to take the first step. They returned from the trade show, left their jobs and started planning.
Exactly one year later, the duo signed their lease at the Bel Villaggio shopping center in Temecula, Ca. and after another year of planning, they opening the doors to Tangerine in July 2003.
This year, Tangerine will celebrate its 6th anniversary and Leigh and Jenn have not looked back. With over 50 top brands like Juicy Couture, True Religion, Tylie Malibu, William Rast, Trina Turk, Hudson, Jbrand and more…Tangerine carries the biggest selection of contemporary clothing in the Valley for both women & men. And with a solid dedication to friendly, helpful service, the store has cultivated a strong reputation and a devoted clientele.
Leigh and Jennifer also realize the importance of giving back to their community and Tangerine has become a well-known contributor to local organizations and individuals in need.
